Practitioner Description:
Louise Hughes BSc (Hons) BM (Beijing) Dip Tuina MATCM has a degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine from Middlesex University in London. She has experience in both China and the UK, and has studied at Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, where she was awarded a Bachelor of Medicine and gained valuable experience in neurology, paediatrics, cardiology and respiratory diseases.
She has gained experience at the Asante Academy of Chinese Medicine, Haverstock Hill Clinic and the Whittington Hospital in North London. She also spent part of her time at University studying at Beijing University and practising at Xi Yuan Hospital. During this time she also worked for the well-known author, Giovanni Maciocia. In 2006 Louise joined the tutoring team at the Penny Price Academy of Aromatherapy in Hinckley and Wakefield, where she teaches Tuina, Moxibustion and Cupping, Tongue, Pulse and Face Diagnosis and Acupressure.
