Practitioner Description:
The principle is simple: As busy adults, we expect a great deal of our body. We expect it to be happy slumped over a desk for 7 hours a day, 5 days a week. We expect it to tolerate the stress of daily life: public transport in the rush hour, shopping, driving, and getting the kids to school and ourselves to work. Our body has to adapt and it does so by developing bad posture, which feels comfortable in the short term but is harmful in the long term. But if our body can learn bad posture, it can unlearn it too.
The Alexander Technique helps us to unlearn faulty posture and regain the natural co-ordination of childhood.
When you learn Alexander Technique and put it into practice, you will transform everyday aches, pains and stress into energy, confidence and a relaxed, easy posture.
