5A complete tour de force!
By S. Jarman
What more could you ask for? This is almost a complete reference for core stability, and it does not get too technical. The diagrams and photos are all excellent in colour and it well worth the money. Only one minor criticism; I would have liked an explanation in the excercises as to what muscle(s) you are working on. Overal an execellnt buy!!

5Really good variety and detail
By ClareSS
As an aerobics instructor, I'm always looking to add variety to the toning section of my classes, and this book certainly filled a gap. This should be fine for the keen gym goer too. Really thorough, covers all the theory but explained simply, nice clear pictures, good teaching points.

4Not quite "Complete guide" but still very good...
By Rich T
As a fitness instructor, I agree with the previous reviews in saying that this book contains a good variety of exercises with clear diagrams. It covers a variety of exercises using stability balls/wobble boards and other unstable bases. It also covers medicine balls, kettlebells and there's a section on abdominal training in water.

Although the pictures are good, they often don't match the text regarding left and right. It's not a huge complaint but the text should match the picture. As the first reviewer pointed out, this book doesn't explain which muscles are being used for each exercise. I feel this is should have been included and it would definitely be worthy of 5 stars had this been the case.

I would still highly recommend this book as it contains a lot of useful information with clear explanations.
