Product Description

Relax, you are not going on a diet. Nobody is going to tell you what to eat, when to eat it and how to eat it. You will not be told to weight yourself or be treated as an idiot. A revolutionary concept, the Emotional Freedom Technique, allows you to take control of your body and mind, tap into your secret fears and the weight could fall off.. The theory behind EFT is that the body's energy system can be corrected by realigning the meridians, a psychological versions of acupuncture without needles. Instead, the body's energy system is balanced by tapping with fingertips on selected points along the energy meridians. This weight loss workbook is designed to help you work towards your desired weight, uncovering and eliminating all those subconscious blocks and barriers that prevent achievement of the goal. Simply put if you are serious about losing weight then you need to work through this book.

Editorial Reviews

Review
'I can honestly say that... you will dump your weight for good, and diets as we know them will be redundant' The Times

As Dawes bluntly states at the start of his book, he is not a doctor, dietician or a counsellor. So why does he think anyone should take notice of his ideas on how to lose weight? Well, Dawes is convinced diets do not work for 199 out of 200 people and relates this failure mainly to the barriers that the unconscious mind creates which prevent weight loss. There is nothing new in this theory; for many years psychology has told us that altering our underlying beliefs is essential for any form of behaviour change to occur. What is different about Dawes's approach is that he encourages those who wish to lose weight to do so by using a technique called EFT - Emotional Freedom Therapy, 'a psychological version of acupuncture without the needles. Instead the body's energy system is balanced by tapping with fingertips on selected points along the energy meridians.' Dawes is a Meridian Therapist. He suggests that all negative emotions about weight are caused by a disruption in the body's energy system. To correct these, all that has to be done is to tap the meridian at a specified point whilst focusing on the problem. Drawings of body parts and instructions of what and where you should tap are provided to help with the process. If this sounds far-fetched, Dawes counteracts by saying that he will prove it - 'you do not even have to believe it, it will work anyway.' Who knows? (Kirkus UK)

I know that some people do find that this method works for them, but it didn't for me.
