could be improved . . .
By Glynis Freeth
I bought the BBB after quite a bit of research, and narrowed things down to this or the Thera Cane. I chose the BBB as it has 11 nodules, the Thera Cane has 7, and also the blurb said it was lightweight.
My massage therapist was fairly impressed, at least with the biggest nodule which is meant to mimic the therapist's thumb, but overall I'm not because I'm the one who has to use it at home and I find the whole thing too heavy, too hard, and definitely on the unwieldy side.
I've found it good for the shoulders, and it would be useful for other areas you might find difficult to reach such as feet. I could use it (gently) in the mid and lower back down to the 12th rib and the quadratus lumborum muscle, but for all of my own problem areas (gluteus muscles, piriformis, vastus, sartorious, tensor fasciae, etc) I need to lay on it and use my body weight for the massage - not good, far too hard! I had much better results in those areas using bodyweight and a tennis ball against a wall.
I think the principle is good, but why do they make these massage tools in such hard materials? Something like the rubber resin of a hard bounce ball would be far better, and would more realistically mimic a therapist's thumbs. Much less likely to cause damage in inexperienced hands too.
I found it too heavy and unwieldy, its almost half my size in length, and surprisingly for such a large item it doesn't come apart for packing as the backnobber tool does. After nearly knocking myself out swinging it around towards my back (and tripping over it when I got up in the morning), I decided it may well help someone else but not me.

I love it!
By S. Sims
This beautiful little gadget has helped me immensely. I hunch over the computer way too much, and have found this lovely little tool to relieve all of the aches and pains I accumulate throughout the day. I have noticed, after only owning it for two days (!) that it has all but cured my RSI, and all of the tension I keep in my shoulders and hips have essentially dissolved.
I highly recommend this fun, easy toy to anyone who wants to give themselves a free rolfing session every day!! I appreciate the fast shipping, the reflexology chart, and the colorful instruction booklet that gave me some good ideas about new areas to work on too. I am very much enjoying this product and I think I'll have to buy another one for my husband!

Amazing product!!!!
By Mrs AA
I have had my eye on this product for a while. I finally decided to buy it and I am so glad I did. It just arrived today and I have used it for an hour and my shoulder feels so much better. It seems simple enough but it is so effective. The are different knodes on the tool, some pointed and some rounded. You can use these to vary what kind of massage you would like. You find the tense point in your muscle and then pull to apply pressure on that point. It provides much needed relief for tenced up muscles. I can now finally reach my shoulder and massage it myself without having to ask for anyone to do it for me.
If you suffer from pain anywhere try it!!!!
Some of the reviews said it was too heavy. I personally didn't find this to be the case. It's light enough for me and I can't carry heavy things because of my shoulder. It is hard but that is what you would want as it is meant to get right in there and apply pressure to that sore spot. It seems durable and has a lifetime warrenty. What more could you ask for?
My only wish was there was more information on what each node was for and how to use them effectively. I am kind of doing whatever I think is best at the moment. So Paul Nash if you are reading this can you put up some videos on how to use this product rather then just trying to sell it! We know it's great, so tell us how to use it so it can be even better! I think I would have bought it sooner if there were some videos showing me how useful it is. I couldn't find any on this product but loads on thersa cane :S something to think about!Body Back Buddy
