| Has anybody tried acupuncture? Heard it's really good for stress relief & a wide variety of ailments? If you have, did it work & what was it for? |

| Oh yeah, my cousin got it done and it really worked well for her. It eases from any stress and strain. Relaxes body and mind and does work wonder, thats what she says. I never tried it on my own. |

| Does accupuncture work for allergies? I doubt it. My mom's been having eczema/dermatitis for many years & we havent tried it yet. Since it does cure many diseases, I was wondering if it included allergies. |

With all the other things that acupuncture helps, I believe it would probably help allergies as well. My uncle was a smoker for 20 years, and had tried everything under the sun to quit, yet the only thing that worked for him was acupuncture. He walked out and never lit up again . |

How did your cousin react to the needles? My uncle did but he has no problem getting poked and said it didn't hurt at all. But I have heard different stories from others though . |

My cousin said that it doesn't hurt so much rather just a small tickle according to her feeling. I wonder how that is so Anyways it might be different for everyone. |

Everyone is different. So it is hard to tell how you will react to the needles. Also what and where they are treating and the skill of the therapist will take things into account also.
Give it a try and remember most things take more than one treatment, even from a doctor. |

| I have tried acupuncture for several sessions and it really helped with my pain disorder for a little bit. I would like to try it again in the future. |

Hello,
yes, acupuncture works really well. I have found one of the unexpected side effects has been relaxation, and after a few treatments found myself falling asleep after being 'pinned'.
I had acupuncture because I was fed up with feeling less than 100% all the time and not getting anywhere with doctors! Needless to say, I would sooner see my acupuncturist than my doctor, her examination is very indepth, and she explains what is wrong and how she's going to treat it. I heartily recommend it. |

I still have a difficult time believing all those tiny 'tickles' don't hurt.
If it's anything like when the doctor pricks your finger to withdraw blood, even that bothers me. |

The needles are about the diameter of a thick hair, IMHO.
I experimented with acupuncture when looking for relief from chronic pain syndrome, but I didn't get any results. The nature of what you are trying to treat makes a huge difference in results. |

| My dad tried it for his arthritis, it helped very little. Not enough to have it done again. I have heard of other people having success with it, I guess it just depends on the person. |

Oh really. Such thick needles and does it hurt badly?? I just have no idea coz' I myself never got it done. I prefer acupressure than acupuncture. |
